Dr. Sequeira has more than 18 years of executive-level business and technical experience working with innovative firms such as Sony, Sybase, Organic Online and AT&T Bell Labs. As Managing Director, Technology Strategy, for Sony Corp, he effected multimillion-dollar investments in Silicon Valley leading technology companies such as Transmeta, EmpowerTel, Teralogic, Sandcraft, Time Domain, and Luxcore, and has served on the Boards of several companies. He has served in a number of technical and C-level roles, and has been the architect of technology products and services from Sybase (in conjunction with HP, Sun, DEC), AT&T Bell Laboratories, Medsn, Organic Online, and Americast (a consortium of Disney, SNET, SBC, Ameritech, GTE and BellSouth). As consultant and advisor he has supported Fortune 100 and 500 companies and customers, as well as startup ventures. Dr. Sequeira has been awarded several patents in the protocol, broadband, application, internet and content management areas. He holds Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Kansas, and a B.Sc. degree in Informatics from the Universidad de Costa Rica. View Resume |
